I really don’t want to pay $350+ for a QUOTE] 31 posts · Joined 2011. #1 · Sep 6, 2011. i have a 2004 525i, and the driver side is only blowing warm air, all the other vents blowing cold air. i read online people had this problem but opposite (cold are driver side and warm passenger) and said a little freon top off did the trick. i went ahead check the psi level of the freon and Per my BMW Genius appt last week: it changes the temp of the air blowing from that vent by +/- 5 degrees. So it you have your climate control set to 70 and you turn it all the way blue, the air from that vent will be approx 65 degrees. All the way red and it will be approx 75 degrees. B. The only time it will blow hard is when I push the defrost button. other than that it blows slowly or softly. the only known problem. The display tells me sometimes that my battery has a low charge. If fan speed is slow to start check the final stage unit (FSU). If AC is slow to cool but eventually does check refrigerant, compressor, receiver dryer, expansion valve and also if the AC assist fan kicks in. Also check the AC relay.
