Or maybe your logic is flawed. Infamous SS and The Last of Us had OPTIONS that allowed the player to choose between 60 fps or 30fps. Infamous didn't flat out reduce the quality or drop the frame rate, they let the player choose through a patch. They let the player choose in The Last of Us because of the shadows quality.
